This 2000 M5 is in outstanding mechanical condition, and is very presentable. I purchased this car year ago to be my daily driver, and have dumped over $8,000 into making it bulletproof, as well as beautiful cosmetically. Do not let the mileage scare you: There are M5's for sale with half the mileage that will need the same thousands of dollars worth of work as soon as you buy them. EVERYTHING is already done on this car, and it is ready to be enjoyed. This is three owner car, and it has been well taken care of since day one. In the past year of my ownership, it has received the following: - Numerous new suspension components and alignment (tie rods, sway bar links, control arms, etc.)- New remanufactured front brake calipers- New brake pads and rotors on all four wheels- New stainless steel braided brake lines on all four wheels- New alloy wheels and tires (both brand new from TireRack)- Remanufactured gauge cluster to fix non-working pixels- New chain guides in the engine (common preventative maintenance item)- Complete exterior detail- New floor mats- New remote and key from BMW (spare included)- The previous owner reports that new clutch was installed within the past 10k miles, but do not have record of this This car does not leak, smoke, or have any known issues of any kind. It drives like an absolute dream. If you haven't driven an E39 M5, you will be stunned by the power and finesse that this car has. In my opinion, it is the greatest all around driver ever built for the car enthusiast. The car does have "Service Engine Soon" light illuminated (does not flash, make any noise, or even show up on the central display) that was scanned and shows "secondary air" fault. This does not and never will cause any running issues, and have not bothered with it. The exterior is in excellent condition. With original paint that shines beautifully. I did have the passenger rear door repaired and it, as well as the panels around it, blended and painted. This repair was done to the highest standard by the best professionals with factory paint. Please note that there is scuff on the underside of the passenger side of the front spoiler. It is visible in couple of the photos because of the angle, but it is not visible when standing and looking at the car. The interior is in incredible shape for car of this age and mileage. The dash does not have any cracks, the seats do not have tears or split seams, and everything looks very presentable. As you would expect, there is some minor wear and nicks here and there. The alcantara headliner is in perfect condition. Please see the photos for the best description of condition. The best thing about this car is that everything works absolutely as it should. All of the power items (seats, moonroof, mirrors, etc.) work properly, all of the lights in the dash and center console work well, and the car even has four perfectly working cup holders. I am selling this vehicle because my family circumstances are changing and need to purchase new vehicle for my wife. To that end, will consider partial trades of only the following, and trades must be German, less than 10 years old, less than $10k, less than 80k miles, have an Automatic transmission, and be in good condition: e.g. Mini Cooper, Cooper S, BMW Series, Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4, etc. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. The car is available for in person inspection, on lift, in Indianapolis. Pre purchase inspections are welcome, but will only be offered with deposit and contingent purchase agreement in place.
