The X3 really is class act.. Its fashionable 4x4and sports saloon all rolled intoone. This late 2007 car is the highly sought after "M-Sport"model which is powered by 147bhp Turbo-diesel engine with speedmanual gearbox. Our X3has had private owner from new and has very low mileage of just 43k from new. Thecar is finished in metallic silver (in my opinion the bestcolour for this car) and it looks superb with its colour codedbumpers, Sport alloy wheels and the M-Sportbodystyling. There are whole host ofextras including front and rear parking sensors and the car is inall-round superb condition. Believe me, if you're lookingfor one of these cars, then this is the model you want!!!Whilstwe also love the larger X5's this X3 is BMWs most economical SUV andis almost as spacious and luxurious as its larger sibling. With147bhp on tap or 2.0 litre diesel still offers excellentperformance without the high running costs. As you would expect froma BMW especially one wearing the M-Sport badge on the roadhandling and ride take precedent over off road ability inthe X3. That said this is wheel drive vehicle which is more thancapable of handling anything the british winter can throw at it Ihave previously used an X3 in the snow and it was superb! On theroad, however, is where this car really performs with handling whichwill rival many sports saloons. The litre Turbo-diesel engine willbe familiar to many as the powerplant from BMW's series saloons -It's trusted performer which suits the X3 superbly. Alongwith 123mph performance you will average over 30mpg in thiscar (you won't do that in any model of X5!) Being anM-Sport model our X3 has visual enhancements to the exterior whichgive it more sporting edge Along with the larger alloys and moreaggressive body-kit think the most significant improvement over thestandard model are the fully colour coded bumpers which make this carlook lot more modern than the lower spec models. Insideour car has cloth trimmed sports seats which are in excellentcondition chunky 3-spoke leather-bound steering wheel has agloriously tactile feel and houses controls for the cruise controland BMW sound system (which has one of the nicest sounds of any carstereo system you will hear). The X3 makes so much more sense than itslarger rivals  - quite possibly the most competent car in aclass which is filled with excellent products. This gorgeous M-Sportmodel offers the perfect balance between it looking, and feelingspecial whilst still being superbly practical. The blend ofperformance and luxury which this car offers will rival most luxurysaloons, but in the X3 you also get that superb ride heightand visibility, as well as the practicality and safety of 4wheel drive. This is great looking car which will stand out againstthe lesser X3's you will see advertised... prepare to be impressed. TESTDRIVE;Forgetsoggy old 4x4's that feel as though they are driving through aploughed field, even when they are on the road.. The X3 is different.BMW realised what we all already knew, that these carsspend 98% of their life on the tarmac. They designed this carto perform superbly on the road so it goes, stops andhandles like... we like BMW.. which is no bad thing.. in fact it issuperb. The ride and handling are better than most conventionalsports saloons and the performance that can be unleashed fromthe litre diesel engine is quite surprising. This model has 6speed manual transmission which feels slick and precise. Thedriving position is excellent and visibility is superb Its an easyand rewarding car to drive, and feels as though it has been built tolast. With ABS brakes and ESP stability control, our X3 is notjust pretty face, with superb handling and roadholding whichare guaranteed to please the keen driver, as well as those whowant comfort and luxury. It is fun car to punt along B-Road,and will also happily cruise in near-silence on the motorway.Well weighted steering and powerful ABS brakes ensure thatno aspect of this cars drive is compromised. Yes, Landrover isbetter off-road, but the X3 is more than capable of anything you willthrow at it during the harshest of winters, and will still be apleasure to own during the summer months when you can enjoy thebenefit of its tinted glass and air-conditioned interior.Iam always impressed by the quality of these cars and with its low mileage of just 43k miles from new, you would be hard pushed to notice anysign of wear on this car. The whole thing still feels as new withbreathtaking performance and superb road-holding. The change on the6-speed gearbox is slick and very smooth, the steering well weightedand precise. Performance is breathtaking with tidal waveof torque which will pin you in your seat at any speed and in anygear. 0-60 mph takes just 11 seconds and the X3 will go on to topspeed of 123 mph which is impressive stuff. Once on the move you canset the cruise control and relax in the opulence of theX3's well equipped interior. You have to keep reminding yourself you're in an SUV!!! At any speed there is ample power on tap and as therevs rise so does this engines eagerness to pin you back in the seatand launch you towards the horizon. And yet the X3 is also supremelycivilized It's comfortable and easy to live with as an every daycar, being refined with no more noise intrusion than conventionalBMW saloon car. Front and rear parking sensors are very sought after extra that was factory fitted to this car and make light work of squeezing the X3 into tight spaces.Aswell as smart alloy wheels, this M-Sport model is fittedwith sports suspension and ESP stability and traction control, whichalong with the 4x4 system ensure the X3 stays safe an controllable inall weather conditions. The ride is slightly firmer than aconventional 4x4 but it is still extremely comfortable.
