Royal Red 2000 BMW e39 M5. NO RESERVE! re-listed as last buyer backed out
Only 87 e39 M5s were finished in Royal Red. This one is even more special being that it is fitted with Complete (stitched doors and dash, alcantara pillars, package tray and headliner) Caramel leather and the large Navigation system.
This is higher mileage m5, but just as strong as the day it was new. These cars are meant to be driven... and this car is proof that they are even better for it. It is not perfect, but is extremely striking and complete joy to drive.
This car carries clean South Dakota title. No check engine light, but as of this moment it will not pass California emissions because of the common SAI carbon build up issue. have built an SAI simulator to stop the light but the monitor is not complete. have coding cable and have been planing on coding it out.... but haven't gotten around to it since the sim deleted the light and there is no functional or performance drawback.
Paint is great... but not perfect. Just this weekend someone hit the rear bumper when it was parked. The bumper is cracked, and has slight "front plate" indentations, but you cant really tell from more than 5-10 feet away.. but its there. Interior is good but there is wear and cracking of the front seat leather and well as some slight wear cracking on the rear. There is crack in the windshield near the rear view mirror, it is terminated on both ends so it will not spread. Motor, trans, etc is fantastic. Adjustable shocks is the only Non OEM modification to this car. The style 65s are painted gold (not my first choice, but got them that way and it actually looks pretty dang good) and wrapped in new Hankook Ventus tires. New brakes and plugs. Recent oil, coolant, ps, brake and clutch fluid replacement... as well as less than 15k on new clutch/fw.
HERE IS THE ISSUE: While driving it this weekend the clutch pedal stayed on the floor. was able to pick up up and get few pumps on it to limp it back to storage.... but my assumption is the clutch master cylinder has gone out. work 70+ hours week and the car is at an indoor storage facility that is only available during the hours I'm working. just do not have the time to fix it with family and other project cars taking my weekend priorities. That combined with the damage to the bumper happening in one weekend of taking it out... I'm just done with the car. That doesn't mean I'm desperate. This is hell of deal for even novice mechanic.
I welcome anyone to come look at the car.... bring experts, mechanics etc... but WILL NOT let anyone drive it because don't want any more damage done to the clutch if decide to keep it or fix it before sale.
