Loan Calculator Vehicle History Report 2008 BMW Series 2dr Conv M6 Description This car has 47600 miles on the odometer but it had complete engine overhaul just 1000 miles ago. The 1000 miles was driven on 30 days to make sure there is no issue  of any kind and no check engine light before delivery. Proper break in has been done and oil and filter just changed after the 1000 mile break in.  Rest assure all parts from BMW are warranted for 12 months. So why did it need an engine rebuilt? Well, these V10 have fairly common issue with rod bearings and one of them was scorched and cause some smoking when we diagnose it, we found that there is an internal wear and #8 cylinder piston was also scratched. We took the engine and transmission out to make sure we see what is going on and we saw rod bearing #8 was scuffed so we decide to completly rebuilt the engine. What was done? Of course ALL engine seals and gaskets replaced, ALL rings replaced, ALL rod bearings and crank bearings replaced, heads polished and block honed and damaged piston replaced. Detail inspection done on every internal part to make sure our effort is not wasted ,while we have it all apart, we also  service the air conditioning and transmission all fluids changed after flushing oil, brake, transmission, coolant, air conditioning fluid). We also service the clutch and inspected it, clutch wear was less than 50%. Brand new starter as well as oxygen sensor were also replaced. Also all brakes checked and they are better than 50% Tires are near new and chassis is in perfect shape. Top works perfectly and everything else works like new. With this rebuilt it is basically new car internally and the paint and all cosmetics are like new also or we would not have spend close to $17000 in retail price on this car !!!)
